Lisa Smith is a managing partner responsible for the marketing and PR coordinating of A. A. Smith Publishing House. Lisa has a BA from York University in Mass Communication and Political Science. Lisa has worked extensively in the areas of marketing, public relations, market research and customer service. She brings all of these skills and more to this exciting venture.
Coming soon to Lisa’s Page is a lifestyle magazine which encompasses all the challenges of aging, including (but not limited to!) parenting, marriage, divorce, health, spirituality and beauty. She welcomes all articles as she curates stories about changes you have encountered while approaching or turning 50. She hopes to showcase the joys, sorrows and wisdom gained as we move through different stages of our lives, and looks forward to taking the incredible journey with all of you.
A. A. SMITH
A. A. Smith (pseudonym) has been writing stories ever since the age of 3 and novels since the age of 12. She began honing her craft by taking university-level writing courses in grade ten, and eventually graduated high school with awards in in English and Literary Creativity. She has dabbled in personal essays (earning Honourable Mention in the “Turning Points” competition, short stories (two of which are printed in UTSC’s “Scarborough Fair”), and poetry (including a piece that was voted best by her university peers). She has completed her Honours Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a minor in English Literature from the University of Toronto, two Data Science Certificates from York University, and is pursuing a Master’s of Public Health at the Imperial College of London. She had also served as the Managing Editor for Minds Matter Magazine, a student-led publication at the University of Toronto, for 3 years. She brings her expertise to this role as the primary reviewer of submissions and editor for A. A. Smith Publishing. She revels in guiding new writers based on their genre and helping them develop their own, unique style.
A. A. Smith is presently working on a detective series called “The Cove Chronicles“. This series follows a jaded detective, who has recently lost his wife to a tragic accident, and a Medical Doctor who acts as a counsellor for the local police department after having had her medical license revoked.
A. A. Smith has also started another fantasy novel called “Thera” investigating an alternate, parallel universe to Earth’s and the ensuing consequences of the balance between good and evil.
